Volunteer Posting – Communications Assistant
Are you passionate about storytelling, social media, and Bombers Hockey?
Do you want hands-on experience in communications while supporting a community organization?
We’re looking for a Volunteer Communications Assistant to help us share the energy, heart, and hustle of our players with fans and partners.
What You’ll Do
- Create engaging content for our social media channels (photos, short videos, graphics, posts).
- Assist with game-day communications: live updates, post-game summaries, and player spotlights.
- Help maintain and update bombershockey.ca with news, schedules, and announcements.
- Support email newsletters and fan outreach initiatives.
- Work with coaches and team staff to gather stories, stats, and behind-the-scenes material.
- Contribute creative ideas to grow our visibility and community engagement.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X/Twitter).
- Basic photo/video or graphic-design abilities are a plus—but enthusiasm matters most.
- Reliable, organized, and comfortable working independently.
- A genuine interest in sports, hockey, or community athletics.

Time Commitment
