The Morgan Fuels Bombers Golf Classic has become one of the premier summer fundraising events for the Sioux Lookout Bombers, bringing together local businesses, golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and hockey supporters each July at the Sioux Lookout Golf and Curling Club. Since its inaugural tournament in 2021, the event has grown steadily and regularly attracts more than 20 teams competing in four-person scramble, best-ball format while raising important funds for team operations and player development.
Past champions include Matt Monkman, Ryan Dasno, Andy Brunton, and Whitney Van Horne, who captured the inaugural 2021 title. In 2022, the “Philly Flops” — Kendall Schulz, Ty Levesque, Cam Bailey, and Ben Forbes — claimed first place with a score of 57. The 2024 tournament featured a dramatic playoff victory by “The Bogeymen” over “Da Boys,” while the 2025 event saw the H&M Cars team earn the championship despite challenging rainy conditions.
Over the years, the tournament has featured memorable highlights including a $1 million hole-in-one contest, appearances by TSN analyst Craig Button, community dinners, and strong participation from local sponsors and supporters. The Golf Classic has become an important tradition that reflects the strong connection between the Bombers organization and the Sioux Lookout community.
